Homeless Children of Brasil

I found out about this trial in Rio that involved street children being murdered by death squads.  In 1993 they busted a bunch of cops for basicially extreminating homeless children in there sleep.  It really rock me becuase it seems so unjust, because they were only kids, and its obivious that the courts are not protecting the people.  I understand that these kids have no family or money, but that doesn't mean that these crimes should go un punished.  The three men that went on trail all got aqquitted because the court didn't accept any of the witness testimonies, took the other cops words that these guys didn't have anything to do with it, it was some lower level police men.  But I think people knew that was all bullshit, the only people who went down for this are probably tring to protect the real corrupt police.

Human rights say that offduty police officers often take part in death squads, paid by shopkeepers and others to rid the streets of homeless children, who are considered a menace.  In 1993 three men including two police officers charged with the murders of eight homeless children.  They were part of a group of men that shot at 70 homeless children sleeping on the sidewalk near Candelaria Cathedral.  CNN human rights observers consider this the worse massacres of street children. It definatley wasnt the last massacre done by the police.

Do you think Brasil's economy is growing?

World cups only happen every four years like the summer olympics.  I have long been a supporter of World Cups.  Since the 1994 World Cup held here in The United States of America, where I over heated in the Rose bowl during 100 degree weaether.  I believe our economy was booming in those days especially when Atlanta held the Olympics two years later in 96'.  My brother who works from his bedroom as a day trader, is all about the stock market and prediciting highs and lows as he likes to call it.  He's been long preaching investing in countries before world cups arrive and letting your money grow while the country booast its infustructure to better suit these world events that gross billions in return for the host nations.  Basically it cost a lot to put these events on, but the more lavish and attractive, the more lucrative it can be for host country.  I believe; as well as my crazy brother that if you can do some reasearch on what plans Brasil has for its World Cup 2014 and its Summer Olympics 2016, you can make good investments that can pay out a lot, or worse case maybe use your taxes to write off a trip to go check your investment during the World cup or Olympics.  ahhahaha basically it good reason to go check out brasil first hand ahah

Heres a article about Obama visiting Brasil , he knows theres going to be a powerful economy in a few years:

Carnival In Brasil

Carnival is the biggest holiday in Brazil.  The whole country stops for about a week and festivities are whole renouned for being very ellaborate and sexy, as well as day and night parties.  Seventy percent of all brasilian tourism comes for Carnival where, about 80 perecent of the anunal consumption is consumed in this week long holiday.  With the government having to hand out condoms to spread sexual awarness of the risk of AIDS.  I guess there really is no sin below the equator!

Carnival is the Annual festival held 46 days before Easter.  It differs from state to state in brasil.  Most the big parades are ment to be watched by the people in costal cities like Rio, where smaller towns have parades called Blocos that envolve the public participation.

This is a "Bloco" carnival form la mancha spain.  Its sort of the same idea as the brasilian carnival were the public gets to participate by dressing up, dancing and drinking with there friends.

Ronaldo Retires after 3 World Cups...on feb 14 2011

My favorite soccer player of all time has said goodbye to the game of soccer.  I want to include him in my blog because with out Ronaldo I would had never wondered about brazil.   I remember Ronaldo was part of the World Cup squad that won the 1994 title in the United States, although he was a teenager and only played in the final ten minutes of the world cup final. He was the team's top star in France in 1998, but just before the final he had seizures in the team hotel and did not play well in the game won by the French.
Ronaldo has played for Brasil in 97 international matches, amassing 62 goals. He was a part of the Brazilian squad that won the1994 and 2002 World Cups. During the the 2006 FIFA World Cup, Ronaldo became the highest goalscorer in the history of the World Cup with his fifteenth goal, surpassing the previous record of 14.

As well as being a popular icon assoicated with soccer stardom, Ronaldo was goodwill ambassador for the United Nation's Development Program. He played a big role in organizing the "Game for Peace" in Haiti in 2004, when the Brazilians visited the country devastated by gang wars.

I just thought the man deserved a spot on my blog because he inspired me to wonder where brazil is? Making brazil relevent and giving brazil a really positive image to me and many more throughout the world.

John of God

There is a new Saint John of God in Brasil and he is healing people as a medium that uses the strength of the brain to heal people.  I felt like this was all a hoax, sort of like when they use chicken liver and pretend to operate and remove this cancer from your body.  But after watching some of these videos, his surgeries if they are fake which I can't believe, are much more allaborate.   He uses a kitchen knife on some ladies eye, and removes puss from people's skulls. Truely mind blwoing.  I still haven't bought the Jon of god thing yet, but because there are no infections or pain I must give credit to the power of the mind.  It really can do things that we still can't grasp!  The guy might be on to something because he does have quite a following.

Here are some testomonies of people he has cured:
